Welcome to Autumn Lane Alpacas.

Established in 2001, Autumn Lane Alpacas is situated on Toodyay Road, approximately 4 kilometres east of Gidgegannup at the start of the picturesque Avon Valley. With a herd of over 100 alpacas, we are committed to the long term growth of this exciting new industry.

Our 20 hectare property is easily accessible being only 20 minutes from Midland, 25 minutes from the Perth International Airport and 45 minutes from Perth CBD in Western Australia.

The beauty of the black alpaca has captivated us from the very beginning of our involvement in the alpaca world. With Autumn Lane Alpacas, we are striving to advance the genetic development of the black alpaca to produce the finest commercial natural black fibre imaginable.

Our black breeding program is carefully founded on some of the best Australian and Peruvian alpaca genetics available including Jolimont Centauri, Purrumbete Highlander, Purrumbete El Dorado, Purrumbete Inti, ILR Peruvian Drambuie, Jolimont Warrior and Aymara Talisman. The quality of our latest cria are evidence that our breeding program is producing the results we are striving for. 2009 was a landmark year for the black breeding program with our latest progeny achieving numerous awards at both State and National level. We have recently expanded our breeding focus with the addition of distinctive grey genetic lines based on Purrumbete Highlander and Jolimont Warrior which are now producing the rapid improvements in both fleece and animal quality.

Our growing herd of stud sires are available for on farm or mobile mating services. Special rates are available for multiple service packages or lease arrangements. Full agistment facilities are available and we specialise in the interstate transfer of alpacas with on-farm approved quarantine facilities.

We always have a range stock for sale on farm with full after sales support for both new and experienced purchasers. Western Australia is a JD-Free zone allowing purchased stock to be freely transported throughout Australia and overseas. Door-to-door delivery can arranged for interstate buyers.

In a new exciting development, Autumn Lane has launched a range of commercial alpaca yarns suitable for both hand and machine knitters. We provide both 100% alpaca and superb alpaca/silk blend yarns in a range of sizes. Full details are available on our Products page.
